A law firm in Chattanooga is seeking a Government Contracts Associate Attorney with a focus on federal government contract matters. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional research and writing skills, show a keen interest in litigation, and have the ability to collaborate effectively within a legal team. An active Bar license in the state is required, with preference for candidates currently practicing in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and admitted to practice in Virginia or Maryland.

Job Duties:

• Handle matters related to federal government contracts, including contract compliance counseling, bid protests, claims litigation, and False Claims Act investigations.
• Conduct extensive legal research and prepare well-articulated legal documents.
• Collaborate with legal teams to develop and implement case strategies.
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation on government contract issues.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in federal government contract matters.
• Proficiency in federal government contract matters, including bid protests and claims litigation.
• Litigation interest and experience.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active Bar license in the state.

Skills:

• Ability to work collaboratively within a legal team.
