Bilingual Legal Assistant/Paralegal
The candidate' will assist attorneys with daily duties in the personal injury department handling the following types of cases: dog bites, maritime, on the job injuries, slip and falls, MVAs, etc. Duties will include, but are not limited to: managing and working pre-litigation and litigation cases; talking to clients, court staff, opposing counsel, experts, medical providers, etc.; managing calendars; drafting demands, discovery requests and responses, pleadings, expert designations, etc.; scheduling depositions, mediations, and trials; attending events as needed. Should have a paralegal certificate and/or relevant educational background is a plus, but not required. Must have one year of law firm/legal experience, have excellent writing skills, and possess the below traits: Bachelor’s (Preferred); Experience 1 year (Preferred, not required); English and Spanish (Preferred).
