Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate to join its Austin, TX office. The successful candidate will work on a variety of employment-related legal matters, providing representation and counsel to employers.

Duties

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims and discrimination charges.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, and in mediations and arbitrations.
• Handle cases including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and contract disputes.
• Advise employers on labor and employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for employment law background.
• Active Texas bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of court and employment-related agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Texas bar admission.
