A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Newport Beach, California. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse range of litigation matters, including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, construction, and business disputes. The position supports both remote and hybrid work arrangements, with occasional in-office meetings required.

Duties

• Manage litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Develop legal strategies and conduct research.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
• Handle discovery processes and depositions.
• Argue motions in court and attend mediations.
• Collaborate with team members and experienced partners.

Requirements

• Current admission to the California State Bar.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience, including defending tort claims.
• Experience in preparing pleadings and managing discovery.
• Proficiency in arguing motions and attending mediations preferred.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
