Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate in Raleigh. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in a large law firm's employee benefits and executive compensation group.

Duties

• Advise on retirement plan administration, including error correction and plan amendments.
• Assist with IRS and DOL plan audits and prepare related documents and filings.
• Advise on welfare plans, COBRA obligations, and ACA requirements.
• Draft equity compensation plans and advise on related tax issues.
• Draft annual and long-term incentive arrangements.
• Conduct due diligence and draft documents for benefits in M&A.

Requirements

• Experience with executive employment agreements is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Exceptional project management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
