Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate should possess a broad range of experience in tax, including partnerships and M&A. Large law firm experience is preferred. They must have excellent academic credentials and strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate should be entrepreneurial, team-oriented, and highly motivated to help grow the practice and serve clients.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and counsel on a variety of tax matters, including partnerships and M&A transactions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support tax-related projects and initiatives.
• Draft legal documents, including agreements, memoranda, and opinions, related to tax matters.
• Assist with tax planning and strategy development for clients.
• Represent clients in tax-related disputes and controversies, including audits and appeals.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• 2-3 years of experience in tax law, preferably in a large law firm setting.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with partnerships and M&A transactions.
• Excellent academic credentials, including a strong academic record.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
