Job Overview

A respected national law firm is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney with 4 to 7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation to join its Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Practice Group. This opportunity is open to candidates in any U.S. office or remote location. The selected attorney will work on high-exposure and technically complex matters involving a broad range of liability policies and litigation challenges. Location

Duties

• Handle complex insurance coverage matters involving professional liability, general liability, and directors & officers (D&O) policies

• Draft pleadings, motions (including dispositive), and all forms of discovery

• Take and defend depositions; participate in court hearings as appropriate

• Manage all aspects of assigned litigation matters with minimal supervision

• Collaborate with team members across offices

• Contribute to business development and client relationship management initiatives

• Engage with insurer clients on high-stakes coverage disputes

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of relevant litigation and insurance coverage experience

• Experience with high-value or complex coverage claims preferred

• Ability to manage a case from inception through resolution

• Demonstrated leadership in managing workstreams or junior attorneys a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

• Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Deep understanding of coverage under various insurance policies

• Strong oral advocacy and client-facing communication skills
