Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join their team. This role involves providing legal representation to clients navigating complex family matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law litigation, with a proven ability to manage high caseloads and advocate effectively in court.

Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, ensuring their interests are effectively protected
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
• Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and devise the best strategies for resolution
• Guide clients through divorce proceedings, including the division of marital assets
• Provide counsel on legal matters such as child support, custody, alimony, and domestic violence issues
• Maintain a caseload, managing multiple ongoing cases with minimal supervision
• Participate in mediations, trials, and arbitration as required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of family law litigation experience
• Active membership with the Florida Bar
• Experience in handling complex family law matters such as child custody, alimony, child support, and divorce
• Proven track record of success in court, including trial and mediation experience
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a substantial caseload independently
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively, particularly in high-stress and emotionally charged situations

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Member of the Florida Bar

Skills:

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong legal research and writing abilities
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Proficiency in family law matters, including divorce, custody, alimony, and asset division
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when working with clients in difficult circumstances
