Job Overview:
A leading national law firm is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Partner to join its Oakland office. This role is ideal for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in defense litigation, including Labor & Employment, Commercial Litigation, General Liability, and/or CGL. The firm offers a flexible work environment, including hybrid or remote work options, with the possibility of working from any office location in states where the firm is licensed. Location:

• Oakland, CA

Duties:

• Lead and manage defense litigation in Labor & Employment, Commercial Litigation, General Liability, and/or CGL
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff
• Develop and implement litigation strategies
• Engage in client development and business generation activities
• Work collaboratively with a team of attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services
• Maintain and grow client relationships
• Provide leadership in the firm’s practice areas and contribute to firm-wide initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in defense litigation, preferably in Labor & Employment, Commercial Litigation, and/or General Liability
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Proven experience in managing complex litigation matters
• Strong client development and relationship-building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Education:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice in California

• Expertise in Labor & Employment, Commercial Litigation, and General Liability defense litigation
