A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney in Irvine, CA, to manage complex civil litigation matters, including business and real estate litigation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a positive attitude, capable of working independently while developing strong client relationships and providing effective legal representation.

Duties

• Defend litigation related to breach of implied warranty of habitability and tenancy claims.
• Provide legal representation and counsel clients on various scenarios.
• Review documents and guide clients through eviction processes.
• Offer legal advice via phone, email, and video consultations.
• Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices.
• Litigate unlawful detainer trials in Southern California courts.
• Draft pre-trial motions and pleadings.
• Represent the firm in internal and external matters.
• Complete project-based work and additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• J.D. and active California Bar license.
• 7-10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• General knowledge of civil litigation and trial experience.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience with habitability law and landlord-tenant law preferred.
• Experience in the rental housing industry preferred.
• Lexis/Westlaw and case/document management systems experience preferred.

Education

• Graduate degree in law (J.D.).

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.
