Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Bountiful, Utah, is currently seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of litigation experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases, primarily in business and defamation matters. The position involves direct case management, strategic collaboration with seasoned attorneys, and regular courtroom appearances. This is an in-office role suited for a motivated litigator seeking hands-on experience, professional growth, and a team-centered legal environment.

Duties:

• Handle a portfolio of 30–40 active litigation matters from initiation through resolution.

• Conduct intake consultations to evaluate potential client matters and outline legal strategy.

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other court documents with precision.

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to formulate litigation strategy and trial preparation plans.

• Research statutes, case law, and precedent relevant to business and defamation claims.

• Maintain meticulous case files, track court deadlines, and ensure procedural compliance.

• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients regarding case developments.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of hands-on litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.

• Prior exposure to business or defamation law is a valuable asset.

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and independently.

• Skilled in legal writing, analysis, and argument development.

• Comfortable delivering legal advice to clients in a clear, accessible manner.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

• Demonstrated commitment to professional integrity and high work standards.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of Utah (Utah State Bar)
