Duties

• Represent clients in immigration court proceedings, USCIS interviews, and administrative hearings.
• Prepare, review, and file petitions, applications, motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on immigration law changes.
• Develop and execute case strategies tailored to client needs.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and address inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case files, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to prepare case materials.
• Advise firm leadership on changes in immigration policy.
• Participate in professional development activities.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar in good standing.
• Experience in immigration law preferred; one to three years advantageous.
• Excellence in written and verbal communication, client relations, and advocacy.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar in good standing.

Skills

• Experience in removal defense, asylum matters, family-based immigration, employment-based petitions, and naturalization.
• Proficiency in drafting legal memoranda, briefs, and evidence-based submissions.
• Familiarity with case management systems and immigration-specific software.
