A law firm in Clarence, NY is seeking an ambitious Associate Attorney to join their Insurance Recovery, Counseling & Litigation team. Duties:

• Assist in resolving complex insurance coverage disputes for policyholder clients.
• Review and analyze insurance policies across various coverage types, including general liability, excess/umbrella, professional, cyber, and more.
• Handle claims and litigate insurance coverage disputes.
• Draft and review contractual indemnity and insurance provisions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys for guidance and training on specific legal issues.
• Provide counsel on insurance-related matters in various sectors, including construction and corporate transactions.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in insurance coverage law or a related field.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex legal issues and collaborate with clients and internal teams.
• Previous experience in insurance policy review, claims handling, or litigation is preferred but not required.
• Experience with construction insurance coverage or corporate transactional work is a plus.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar.
