Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Manassas, VA. The successful candidate will represent clients in collection and landlord-tenant disputes, primarily in Virginia and Maryland, and engage in various legal proceedings.

Duties

• Represent clients in collection and landlord-tenant disputes in Virginia and/or Maryland.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Review files and pleadings to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Draft and respond to discovery.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Virginia and/or Maryland bar.
• Experience in collection law is a plus but not required.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to commute to Virginia and Maryland as needed.
• Open to licensed attorneys and recent law school graduates.
