The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex legal matters in the insurance industry, with a focus on professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies.

Duties:

• Manage and represent clients in complex insurance and reinsurance disputes.
• Provide expertise on insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers policies.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents, including memoranda, briefs, and pleadings.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop effective strategies for case management and resolution.
• Work independently, while also contributing to team projects and initiatives.
• Provide innovative solutions to meet client needs and resolve legal issues efficiently.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide proactive legal advice.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in insurance law and litigation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Expertise in handling insurance disputes, including those related to professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers policies.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and produce high-quality written work.
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to complex legal issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan (or eligibility for admission).
