Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Handle commercial litigation, including contract disputes and business torts.
• Advise clients on transactions, risk allocation, and dispute avoidance.
• Manage breach of contract, indemnification, and enforcement issues.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on commercial law issues.
• Manage deadlines and procedural requirements across jurisdictions.
• Maintain strong client relationships through strategic guidance.
• Record and maintain billable hours accurately.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in the State of New York (Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania admissions are a plus).
• 5-10 years of experience in commercial law.
• Experience in commercial contract drafting and review.
• Proven experience in handling commercial disputes and litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
