Duties:
Represent detained and non-detained clients in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct intake interviews at detention centers as needed
Prepare and submit diverse immigration applications including removal defense and family-based petitions
Review and revise immigration application packets for accuracy and completeness
Meet with prospective clients to conduct consultations and provide strategic legal guidance
Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS and court testimony
Draft legal briefs, motions, and supporting documents for immigration proceedings
Stay current with developments in immigration law and procedures
Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration matters
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing immigration law
Demonstrated ability to manage caseload independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Team-oriented mindset with willingness to collaborate
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Experience with family-based petitions, EOIR, detained cases, humanitarian relief, and citizenship applications
Proficiency with immigration case management software is preferred
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
