Duties

• Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling.
• Organize and maintain accurate files for attorneys, paralegals, and staff.
• Perform legal research and prepare for hearings or other legal proceedings.
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters and advise clients on solutions.
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents for contract negotiations and proceedings.
• Investigate and gather evidence related to personal injury cases.
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to reach settlements.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Attend depositions and conduct witness interviews.
• Provide clients with regular updates on case status.
• Collaborate with other attorneys to develop legal strategies and arguments.
• Maintain accurate and complete case files and documentation.

Requirements

• Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
• Successful completion of the state bar exam.
• Licensed to practice law in Utah.
• Experience practicing personal injury law preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proven track record of successful settlements and verdicts.
• Experience with case management software and technology.
• Spanish language skills are helpful but not necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Utah State Bar.
