Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Debt Finance Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its dynamic practice in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in secured lending transactions, primarily in the middle market, and will be adept at handling complex financial arrangements.

Duties

• Represent arrangers, agents, lenders, and borrowers in syndicated or bilateral credit facilities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, including credit agreements and security agreements.
• Manage complex closing processes and coordinate third-party deliverables.
• Conduct standard diligence for debt finance transactions from both lender and borrower perspectives.
• Engage in cross-border work, project finance, restructuring, and workout transactions.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in debt finance.
• Admission to practice law in the State of New York.
• Experience with substantial clients, including debt funds and private equity sponsors.
• Familiarity with UCC Article 9 and relevant elements of UCC Article 8.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
