A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Associate in New York to join its Financial Restructuring group. The role involves representing creditors, investors, and distressed companies in various restructuring matters globally.

Duties

• Represent first and second lien lenders, bondholders, hedge funds, and other creditors.
• Act in contested U.S. and multinational insolvencies, restructurings, and bankruptcies.
• Handle multidisciplinary cross-border deals, particularly in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
• Appear before trial and appellate courts in complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 matters.

Requirements

• 3+ years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience.
• Substantive experience in large-scale, complex U.S. and cross-border bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.
• Experience in out-of-court restructurings.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from a T-20 law school.
