A law firm seeks a Transactional Associate Attorney in the Greater Chicago Area. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team, handling corporate and commercial transactions independently while collaborating across multiple practice areas.

Duties

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, business formations, and restructurings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, including purchase and shareholder agreements.
• Assist with commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and leasing.
• Conduct legal due diligence and prepare transaction summaries and closing documents.
• Advise on entity selection, governance, and risk management.
• Coordinate transactions from negotiations through closing.
• Conduct legal research and collaborate on complex matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Minimum of 5 years of transactional legal experience.
• Strong experience in drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and client service commitment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and commercial lending.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions.
• Experience coordinating complex transactions.
