Paralegal - Enforcement

The candidate will provide efficient and effective service to custodial and non-custodial parents through telephone interviews, contact with other jurisdictions, and processing interstate cases. Will process and follow-up of outgoing UIFSA cases with corresponding jurisdictions and Custodial Parents. Monitor case for requests and updates needed to enforce case in another state. Note and work list when case is set for court for enforcement. Send status letter to Custodial Parent detailing actions on case. Utilize resources to acquire and assimilate information for effective case processing. Create detailed notes in system and case file as to case action. Return phones calls within 24 hours. Review and process items on work list daily. Work a minimum of 40 files per day. Review and process mail and other documents based on INIT section timelines. Review and process transfer files from other sections based on INIT section timelines. Monitor cases in caseload and update Custodial Parent every thirty days. Notate outcome of all court hearings. Update case information as needed. Update participant information as needed, including employment and address information. Complete case notes in ISETS. Send correspondence to participants on case. Utilize CSENET to request enforcement on or status of cases. Participate in the planning and review of the section's goals as needed. Contribute to the effective and efficient daily operations of the Marion County Prosecutor's Office, Child Support Division through increased and ongoing knowledge of procedures. Maintain confidentiality of all cases. Abide by all policies and procedures set forth in the Marion County Prosecutor's Office Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual. Ensure that all work is completed in strict compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and IRS laws and regulations.
