This role involves crafting tailored legal instruments such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney to support individuals and families in preparing for the future. The position demands both precision and empathy, with the attorney guiding clients through emotionally nuanced decisions regarding asset distribution and long-term planning.

Duties

• Develop comprehensive estate plans including wills, trusts, healthcare directives, and powers of attorney

• Guide clients through asset protection strategies and estate distribution options

• Collaborate with internal legal teams to streamline planning and documentation

• Represent clients in probate proceedings and court hearings as required

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date legal records for each client

• Provide education and insight to clients on legal tools related to insurance, tax implications, and inheritance planning

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in estate planning and probate matters within a legal setting

• Proficiency in client-facing legal advisory, especially during emotionally charged or sensitive discussions

• Solid understanding of asset protection, estate administration, and fiduciary responsibilities

• Familiarity with real estate, title, and property law as it intersects with estate planning

• Ability to manage case files and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Bachelor’s degree required

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Georgia

• Membership in professional legal associations such as the ABA preferred
