A law firm seeks a Litigation Defense Attorney in Providence, Rhode Island. Duties

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Appear in court, hearings, and mediations.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal analysis.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of civil litigation and/or insurance defense experience.
  • Strong motion practice and deposition experience.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Experience with insurance coverage, general liability, or related practice areas preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island.
