Graduate Fellowship Program
The Fellowship Program places new associates from law firms at public interest law agencies in Illinois, where they are typically paid by their hiring firm to work for 300 hours between graduation and joining the firm. The Fellow will work on a wide and diverse range of issues depending on the agency where they serve. Will also work on transactional matters such as policy development and analysis, advocacy, impact litigation and more. Will work with the Loyola Health Justice Project. Will be responsible for monitoring HJP cases, communicating and corresponding with clients, following up on records requests, negotiating with opposing parties, preparing court pleadings, attending court (under 711 licensed) and administrative hearings as necessary, and engaging in every aspect of legal representation under the supervision of HJP faculty. Will also have the opportunity to support HJP faculty through research and engagement in systemic projects.
