Partner-Level IP Attorney

Job Overview:
A partner-level Intellectual Property Attorney position for an experienced practitioner with an established client base in Washington, DC. This role focuses on managing sophisticated intellectual property matters while contributing to the continued growth of the practice through an existing book of business and strong client relationships.

Duties:

• Advise clients on intellectual property matters, including prosecution, protection, enforcement, and portfolio management
• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted legal advisor
• Oversee and handle complex intellectual property transactions and disputes
• Develop legal strategies tailored to clients' business objectives
• Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across practice areas
• Contribute to business development initiatives and practice growth
• Mentor and support junior attorneys as appropriate

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of intellectual property law experience
• Federal Court experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and legal matters independently
• Established portable book of business of at least $500,000
• Strong business development and client retention skills
• Ability to contribute to the strategic growth of a legal practice

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
• Additional intellectual property-related registrations or certifications, where applicable, are a plus
