Duties

• Assist the General Counsel with legal counsel on contracts, compliance, and risk management.
• Conduct legal research and analyze laws to advise on their impact.
• Support drafting, reviewing, and negotiating vendor and partner agreements.
• Collaborate with department heads on risk, compliance, and operational legal issues.
• Oversee litigation, investigations, and dispute resolution with outside counsel.
• Develop, implement, and review firm policies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with California Bar and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Provide timely, practical legal solutions with a team-oriented attitude.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 4-7 years of legal experience, ideally with in-house counsel experience.
• Strong background in contracts, compliance, and risk management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and deliver business-focused solutions.
• High ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
• Experience in personal injury law is desirable but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the California State Bar.
