Duties

  • Review administrative records to develop legal challenges to agency decisions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on immigration issues in federal court.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for federal court filings.
  • Prepare and conduct arguments before federal judges.
  • Present federal court litigation options to various audiences.
  • Represent clients in complex immigration court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve client issues and support projects.
  • Communicate regularly with clients on procedural issues and case processing.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Bar admission.
  • 3 or more years of experience in federal court practice.
  • Strong background in administrative law principles for federal court review.
  • Immigration court experience is a plus.
  • Litigation experience on behalf of the federal government is welcome.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Travel to Philadelphia office required twice a year.
  • Willingness to attend networking conferences and travel for business development as needed.

Education

  • J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
