Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a highly skilled eDiscovery Attorney to join its team. This non-partnership track position requires extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), along with a strong interest in gaining additional expertise in eDiscovery processes. Ideal candidates must be able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and communicate efficiently with internal teams, clients, and vendors. The position is open to candidates based in any location where the firm has an office, and applicants must be admitted to the bar in their respective jurisdiction.

Location:

  • Austin, TX

Duties:

  • Manage eDiscovery work for complex litigation matters.
  • Supervise and coordinate project execution to ensure timelines, budgets, and standards are met.
  • Draft and negotiate discovery-related protocols, orders, and agreements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the case team and clients regarding eDiscovery project progress.
  • Coordinate with case teams, clients, and vendors on identifying and collecting client data.
  • Create accurate budgets and estimates for review projects, including revenue forecasting and invoice reviews.
  • Develop and manage document review workflows, including implementing QC processes.
  • Oversee the preparation and production of documents.
  • Provide guidance and training to review attorneys to enhance work product and performance.
  • Foster a positive team environment and ensure effective collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in eDiscovery (in-house, law firm, government, etc.).
  • Admission to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High business judgment and capacity to prioritize tasks.
  • Experience with eDiscovery software and processes.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where applying.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organizational capacity.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in eDiscovery software and technologies.
