Job Summary
This internship posting is being leveraged to facilitate hiring for the Temple's Center for Compliance and Ethics Fellows program.
Job Description
The Summer Fellow will support the work of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Corporate Compliance Department. The Corporate Compliance Department provides strategic oversight of the Company's compliance program and sits within the parent company-level Corporate Law Department. The Department is responsible for overseeing, developing and implementing the Company's internal policies, procedures and compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts globally across **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., NBCUniversal, and Sky. A willingness to learn, strong communication and analytical skills, and attention to detail are critical to success. Candidates from underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Core Responsibilities:
Fellow will gain exposure to the compliance and ethics profession and will support the Corporate Compliance Group with many aspects of the Company's compliance program, including but not limited to:
Support Corporate Compliance's management of Corporate and enterprise-wide standards, policies, training and communications.
Support projects related to the Company's internal whistleblower program, including the ethics helpline and case management system.
Conduct research on emerging compliance trends.
Benchmark the Company's compliance programs against the programs of other respected companies and the guidance of enforcement authorities and regulators.
Perform other compliance-related duties, as needed, that support the Company's compliance program
Basic Requirements:
Fellow must be nominated by the Center for Compliance and Ethics at Temple University.
Currently enrolled and pursuing a juris doctorate degree from a United States-based law school/program
Ability to work 40 hours the entire duration of the program
Authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship in the future
Required Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
Strong written and verbal communications, including the preparation of presentation materials
Ability to analyze and report on data to drive decision-making and inform priorities
Demonstrated commitment to feedback, growth, and development and teamwork.
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with consistently high‐quality work product.
