Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Iselin, NJ, is actively seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable attorney specializing in land use and redevelopment. This position presents a compelling opportunity for a legal professional to partner with municipalities and public-sector stakeholders on a wide range of land development and regulatory matters. The role requires an aptitude for navigating complex municipal codes, preparing documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams involved in redevelopment efforts.

Duties:

• Collaborate with municipalities on land use applications, zoning, and redevelopment plans

• Provide legal guidance to local government officials, planning boards, and engineering teams

• Draft legal memoranda, resolutions, and ordinances related to redevelopment matters

• Review and interpret local and state regulations governing land use

• Represent clients in planning/zoning board meetings and other administrative proceedings

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support municipal project objectives

• Manage multiple case files with a high level of accuracy and organization

• Assist in negotiating and preparing redevelopment agreements and related documents

Requirements:

• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar

• Demonstrated experience in municipal land use, zoning, or redevelopment law

• Familiarity with working with public-sector clients, including local governments

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple active matters

• Commitment to collaboration and client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey

Skills:

• Legal research and drafting proficiency
