Job Overview: A prominent law firm in Rochester, NY, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Attorney with a proven track record in healthcare law. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in healthcare law and a sustainable, portable book of business. This role involves addressing complex healthcare legal issues and providing strategic guidance to healthcare entities.

Duties:

• Advise on hospital and physician alignment issues, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Lead healthcare entity and physician practice mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations.
• Conduct regulatory investigations and develop corporate compliance programs.
• Provide expert counsel on key areas including Fraud and Abuse, Medicare/Medicaid anti-kickback, Stark Law, HIPAA, ACOs, and healthcare reimbursement.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 12 years of healthcare law experience.
• A portable and sustainable book of business.
• Strong expertise in healthcare regulations and compliance matters.
• Proven ability to work with healthcare entities and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in the State of New York.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of healthcare law, including fraud and abuse regulations, reimbursement issues, and HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex healthcare transactions.
