A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level attorney to join its Tampa, FL office, specializing in flood insurance claims and other first-party insurance disputes. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in litigation, particularly in representing property owners, and will thrive in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Draft and argue motions related to flood insurance claims and disputes.
• Prepare pleadings and discovery documents essential for litigation.
• Take and defend depositions as part of the case preparation process.
• Attend mediations to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
• Conduct trials, representing clients effectively in court.
• Participate in marketing events sponsored by the firm to enhance client outreach.

Requirements:

• Active member of the Florida Bar.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in flood insurance litigation.
• Proven experience in drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Familiarity with Westlaw and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in conducting depositions and mediations.
• Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to client service and ethical legal practices.
