Job Overview:
A well-regarded litigation firm is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney (0–2 years of experience) to join its Los Angeles office. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly admitted or early-career attorney interested in defending complex professional liability and securities litigation cases. The associate will gain hands-on experience in litigation matters involving attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, insurance professionals, and corporate officers. This recruitment is being conducted on behalf of the firm by a legal recruiting agency.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Represent clients in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration forums such as FINRA and AAA

• Defend complex professional liability and securities litigation claims

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence

• Conduct legal research and case analysis

• Take and defend depositions

• Participate in hearings, mediations, and trials

• Communicate with clients on case strategy and progress

• Track and report billable hours in compliance with firm and client guidelines

Requirements:

• Admission to the California Bar (required)

• 0–2 years of legal experience (litigation experience preferred)

• Interest or experience in defending professional liability or securities-related matters

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and cases efficiently

• Commitment to producing high-quality legal work

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the California Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities

• Excellent writing and oral communication skills

• Ability to comprehend complex legal issues and formulate effective strategies

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Team player with the ability to also work independently
