A law firm seeks a skilled Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in downtown Dallas, TX. This full-time, hybrid role is open to candidates with 2-10 years of experience in tort law and/or general litigation. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload that includes tort cases, family law, construction, guardianship, and other forms of litigation. Duties

  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to various cases.
  • Respond to discovery requests and assist with case management throughout the litigation process.
  • Conduct depositions and participate in hearings and trials, representing clients effectively.
  • Locate, prepare, and depose expert witnesses to support case strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and guide case status to senior attorneys.
  • Assist with family law, construction, guardianship, and other litigation matters as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other professionals to ensure case success.

Requirements

  • 2-10 years of experience in tort law, general litigation, or other relevant practice areas.
  • Proven experience with legal research, drafting documents, and managing litigation cases.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for effective representation and client interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in various litigation areas, including family law and construction.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Texas State Bar or eligibility to practice law in Texas.

Skills

  • Expertise in legal research, document drafting, and litigation procedures.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for client and courtroom interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient in case management software and legal research tools.
