Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for working with potential or current clients, conducting case investigations, engaging in motions practice, conducting legal research, handling written discovery, preparing for and conducting depositions, trial preparation, and representing clients in court trials. The ideal candidate will have experience in either criminal law (former Public Defender, private criminal defense, or prosecutor) or family law. They must possess excellent organizational skills, demonstrate initiative as a self-starter, and exhibit confidence in advocacy. Exceptional writing skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Work with potential or current clients
• Conduct case investigations
• Engage in motions practice
• Conduct legal research
• Handle written discovery
• Prepare for and conduct depositions
• Prepare for trial and represent clients in court trials

Requirements:

• Experience in criminal law (former Public Defender, private criminal defense, or prosecutor) or family law
• Highly organized and self-starting
• Confident in advocacy skills
• Excellent writing skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Colorado State Bar

Skills:
