Job Title: Trademark Associate Attorney (Clearance & Prosecution)

A prominent law firm based in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a mid-level Trademark Associate with a focus on clearance and prosecution matters. This role is ideal for an attorney with substantial experience managing both domestic and international trademark portfolios, particularly in complex clearance strategies and prosecution work. Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish is essential. The firm’s trademark team is nationally recognized and works with high-profile clients, including those in the entertainment sector.

Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and provide strategic clearance counsel

• Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios, including filing and prosecution

• Prepare and respond to office actions, oppositions, and other USPTO correspondence

• Advise clients on brand protection strategies and global trademark enforcement

• Draft and negotiate trademark-related agreements

• Support entertainment clients with industry-specific trademark needs

• Coordinate with international counsel on foreign trademark matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in trademark law, specifically in clearance and prosecution

• Demonstrated ability to independently handle complex and high-volume trademark dockets

• Prior experience working with entertainment or media companies preferred

• Proficiency in Spanish, both written and oral, is mandatory

• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar

Skills:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

• In-depth understanding of U.S. and international trademark laws and procedures

• Excellent legal research and writing capabilities

• Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities

• Comfortable managing high-volume, deadline-driven dockets

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage directly with clients
