Duties

• Serve as the closing attorney for residential real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and refinances.
• Conduct and supervise real estate closings in the Fort Mill office.
• Review and prepare closing documents, including deeds, loan documents, affidavits, and settlement statements.
• Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, title companies, and clients to ensure timely and accurate closings.
• Identify and resolve title, lien, and curative issues.
• Ensure compliance with South Carolina real estate law and ethical requirements.
• Provide practical, client-focused legal guidance throughout the transaction process.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in South Carolina (North Carolina licensure is a plus).
• Experience handling residential real estate transactions and closings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, client-facing demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Desire to be part of a collaborative, real estate-focused practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
