Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level government contracts associate to join its Government Contracts Team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in government contracts, either at a large or mid-sized national firm, a boutique firm, or within the government.

Duties

• Handle bid protests and counsel clients on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Advise clients on federal grant compliance and related requirements.
• Engage in federal court litigation and government contracts investigations.
• Draft and negotiate government contracts, subcontracts, and agreements.
• Perform due diligence on government contracts M&A transactions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in government contracts.
• Experience with FAR and its supplements.
• Barred in the District of Columbia or eligible to waive in.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the District of Columbia.

Skills

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
