Location

• Detroit, Michigan

Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution

• Handle complex general liability matters, including high-exposure and transportation claims

• Regularly appear in court for hearings, conferences, and depositions

• Collaborate with partners and fellow associates on case strategy

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Communicate proactively with clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice

• Contribute to case evaluations and litigation planning to align with client objectives

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience handling general liability litigation

• Strong familiarity with premises liability, trucking, and transportation law

• Courtroom and deposition experience required

• Experience managing files and working with clients independently

• Legal project management experience is a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Michigan
