Duties

• Lead and manage complex insurance defense matters, including general liability and toxic tort.
• Develop case strategy, analyze risk, and provide proactive, solutions-oriented guidance.
• Conduct all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeals.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, maintaining and deepening long-term relationships.
• Contribute to the firm's overall business strategy and participate in leadership committees.
• Mentor and develop associates to support high-quality legal work and professional growth.
• Manage matter budgets, profitability, staffing, and client reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years' litigation experience.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• Portable book of business or established client relationships is a plus.
• First-chair or significant trial experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and case-management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
