Job Overview: A law firm seeks a seasoned Trademark Attorney with at least 4 years of experience in trademark clearance, prosecution, and litigation. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in domestic and global trademark matters and familiarity with FTC regulations. Proficiency in copyright law and experience with TTAB proceedings and federal court litigation are highly desirable. Fluency in Spanish and experience in restaurant, software, life sciences, and consumer packaged goods industries are advantageous.

Duties:

• Conduct trademark clearance searches and analyze search results.
• Draft and prosecute trademark applications before the USPTO and international trademark offices.
• Provide legal advice on advertising and marketing campaigns to ensure compliance with FTC regulations and other advertising laws.
• Handle Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings.
• Litigate trademark infringement and false advertising claims in federal court.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a law firm setting.
• Deep and regular experience in trademark clearance and prosecution work (domestic and global).
• Familiarity with a review of creative assets for compliance with FTC and other advertising laws.
• Experience with copyright law.
• Experience with TTAB proceedings and litigating trademark infringement and false advertising claims in federal court (desirable).
• Proficiency in Spanish (bonus).
• Background in restaurant, software, life sciences, and consumer packaged goods industries (bonus).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Georgia.

Certifications:

• Certification in Trademark Law (preferred).

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in legal software and research databases.
