A prominent law firm based in Cincinnati, OH, is looking for an Associate Attorney to support its growing Intellectual Property (IP) law practice, with a focus on firearms, related parts, accessories, and add-ons. This opportunity involves working on patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, and IP litigation matters. The firm is committed to supporting the professional growth and development of its attorneys, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Duties:

• Manage patent and trademark prosecution related to firearms and related technologies.
• Handle IP litigation matters for domestic and international clients in the firearms industry.
• Work on drafting and filing patent applications and responding to office actions from the USPTO.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced IP attorneys and other legal professionals.
• Stay current on developments in patent law, especially in the firearms and defense industries.
• Assist clients in protecting their intellectual property assets.

Requirements:

• Experience ranging from recent law graduates to professionals with experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• A deep understanding of firearms and related accessories, including optics and ammunition.
• Eligibility for or admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) (Patent Bar).
• Strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM), with a preference for degrees in engineering or other hard sciences.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO or eligibility for the Patent Bar.

Skills:

• Experience in patent prosecution or IP litigation.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
