Duties and Responsibilities:

• Client Intake & First Meeting:

  • Establish rapport and trust with new clients.
  • Gather and document crucial details about liability, damages, and coverage.
  • Develop a strategic plan for each case with clear action items for the client and firm.

• Investigation & Case Preparation:

  • Direct the investigative process to strengthen case validity for trial.
  • Evaluate insurance coverage and secure key evidence to support case claims.

• Negotiation:

  • Aggressively negotiate with adjusters to maximize settlement offers.
  • Prepare cases for trial while evaluating and securing the best settlement value.
  • File lawsuits when necessary and guide clients through litigation processes.

• Litigation & Trial Strategy:

  • Prepare legal pleadings and discovery for litigation.
  • Formulate and execute strategies for trial preparation, including mediation and arbitration.

• General Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve correspondence created by team members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth case progression and timely resolutions.
  • Actively engage in daily team huddles to discuss case statuses and next steps.

Requirements:

• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with strategic thinking and effective time management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with an emphasis on client advocacy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active State Bar license in good standing in Ohio.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Negotiation and settlement expertise.
• Litigation and trial preparation proficiency.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
