Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid to senior level Business Litigation Associate to join their Los Angeles or Orange County office. The ideal candidate will have over four years of recent business litigation experience and be licensed to practice in California.

Duties

• Review fact patterns and provide analysis and recommendations.
• Analyze legal issues effectively and accurately.
• Second chair complex cases or first chair simpler cases.
• Assist lead trial attorneys in pre-trial issues and proceedings.
• Prepare complex pre-trial motions.
• Evaluate and implement pre-trial and witness preparation.
• Manage small cases independently with minimal supervision.
• Prepare motions for summary judgment.
• Prepare deponents and take complex deposition testimony.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate with excellent academic credentials.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.
• Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules.
• Experience in case management and drafting litigation documents.
• Strong negotiating and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and matter management skills.

• Juris Doctorate
