Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Litigation Attorney to represent clients in various phases of litigation, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in General Liability and/or Professional Liability matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for attending court appearances, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and providing legal advice to clients. New Jersey Bar admission is required, and experience in New Jersey litigation is preferred.

Duties:

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation, from initiation to expert discovery, in General Liability and/or Professional Liability matters.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct complex legal research and discovery investigations.
• Draft discovery requests and responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Review discovery responses and depositions, preparing summaries and litigation update reports.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to settle claims.
• Communicate closely with clients throughout the litigation process, providing legal analysis, status reports, and advice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in New Jersey.
• Experience in New Jersey litigation preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in General Liability and/or Professional Liability matters.
• Experience drafting discovery, leading depositions, and arguing motions is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in New Jersey.
