Job Overview

A law firm seeks a transactional associate with at least three years of experience or a senior counsel with at least eight years of experience to join the investment management team of their Business Law Group in one of their office locations, including Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Naples, Phoenix, San Diego, St. Louis, Tampa, Tucson, or Washington D.C. The candidate should have experience in investment management matters, including regulatory compliance and formation, institutional investor representation, and private fund formation.

Duties

• Handle investment adviser, investment company, and broker-dealer regulatory compliance.
• Engage in institutional investor representation and private fund formation.
• Conduct transactions in the investment management space.
• Perform general corporate work as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience for associate level; eight years for senior counsel.
• Experience in a wide variety of investment management matters.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with both lawyers and non-lawyers.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant state.
