Job Details:

SUMMARY:

This position is in charge of the scheduling of livestock deliveries at the plant location; keeping in constant contact with market desk in regard to plant schedules and inventories; dispatching messages to buyers; assisting in booking deliveries at the plant and in collecting or disseminating market information; scheduling of livestock deliveries to ensure timely unloading of livestock and efficient segregation of livestock for segregation programs; maintaining accurate spreadsheets and records; working with buyers as required for the proper scheduling of livestock deliveries; and is responsible for project work as designated by Sr. Manager of Hog Procurement.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

College education preferred Animal Science or Ag Business or equivalent experience in hog buying.

Experience:

Knowledge of modern swine production.

Previous experience preferred.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills required.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional phone skills are a must. Must be able to communicate with all levels of management and all customers.

Special Skills:

Detailed oriented with accurate record keeping skills.

Travel

Excellent attendance(5 points or less) HourlyExcellent disciplinary record(Cannot have any written warnings suspension in the last 12 months) “This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility.
