Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Environmental Litigation Mid-Level Associate in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience and a strong interest in environmental law. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex environmental litigation matters and collaborate with experienced environmental lawyers.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception to conclusion.
• Conduct factual investigations and research, and interact with clients.
• Draft research memos, motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery.
• Research relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, and argue motions.
• Conduct and manage all aspects of discovery, including e-discovery.
• Prepare for, assist in, and conduct hearings and trials.
• Assist in business development and marketing opportunities.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Excellent written communication and drafting skills.
• Outstanding legal research skills.
• Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in good standing.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
