Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw

• Draft precise and persuasive legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence

• Assist in litigation processes, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Focus on matters involving real estate, insurance, construction, and employment law

• Represent clients in negotiations and legal proceedings, including depositions and court appearances

• Communicate with clients and colleagues to ensure effective legal strategies and timely updates

• Contribute to case management and meet all legal deadlines efficiently

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience practicing law

• Prior experience in commercial litigation, real estate, or insurance law required

• Experience in construction and/or labor law strongly preferred

• Ability to manage multiple high-level projects and deadlines independently

• Strong interpersonal and client management skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana

• In good standing with the Louisiana State Bar
